Meet The Team
About Our Team
Just like Dr. Nathan, the rest of the team at Golden Rule Dental Care will always do what’s right for your oral and overall health. We will make you feel at home at our inviting practice, answer all questions honestly, and address any concerns you might have about your treatment. Whether you need a same-day emergency appointment, need to “brush up” on your at-home care routine, or have questions about financing your treatment, you can count on us to give you the answers. We believe everyone deserves a beautiful, healthy smile! Compassionate dentistry with integrity is just a call away.
Hannah Bing, Community Outreach Coordinator
Hannah spends her days bringing our mission to life in our community. She also supports her fellow team members to do the same by encouraging and supporting them.
Her favorite aspects of her job are interacting with patients and contributing to her community. Hannah believes you should treat others as you want to be treated. This is part of her work philosophy and is integral to how she approaches each person. She is fair and thorough during each interaction.
Hannah is happily married to her husband Clay. In her free time, she delights in spending time with him as well as friends and family. She also volunteers at the Gospel City Church in Pantego and with youth. You can often find Hannah exploring the outdoors. She’s the proud parent of two mini dachshunds, Chandler and Gracie. Hannah and Clay recently welcomed their first baby!
Tammi Slater, Patient Care Coordinator
Tammi brings nearly 30 years of experience to Golden Rule Dental Care. As our patient care coordinator, she’s committed to helping patients get the smile care they desire. She has a positive attitude and is focused on being the best person she can be. Tammi has an undeniable passion for making each patient’s day!
A California native, Tammi relocated to Arlington in 1990. She decided to join Golden Rule Dental Care because of Dr. Nathan’s passion for dentistry and his love of God. “It’s infectious,” she says.
Tammi has a daughter named Raina. When she’s not at the practice, she likes to exercise, golf, dance, and volunteer at the local food bank. She has one furry companion – a cat named Buddy Allen. Tammi plans to have good health for life! She has undergone cosmetic dentistry … ask her about this during your next appointment!
Teresa Hooper, Patient Care Coordinator
Teresa’s career in dentistry spans 45 years. She is truly dedicated to helping patients maintain a healthy smile and educating them about the “positive possibilities in dentistry.”
One of the things she enjoys most about working at Golden Rule Dental Care is making lifelong friends. She was drawn to our practice because of Dr. Nathan’s high level of integrity and the fact we place our patients’ needs first. Teresa is a believer in Zig Ziglar’s outlook on life: “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.”
Teresa is married to Barry. They have two daughters, four grandchildren, and three dogs. She enjoys watching her grandkids grow up. And when she’s not helping patients get the most out of their dental visits, you can find Teresa working in her yard, fishing, or reading.
Shannon Upton, Registered Dental Hygienist
Shannon has been a dental hygienist for nearly 30 years. She is a graduate of Lamar University’s Dental Hygiene Program. In 2008, she graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York.
She is a firm believer in Dr. Nathan’s mission to focus on the whole person while honoring God first. Each day, Shannon puts her heart into helping patients achieve optimal oral health and overall health through periodontal therapy, ongoing maintenance, and preventive care with an emphasis on patient education and responsibility. She is proud to refer friends and family to a practice that deliver excellent care, where the dentist is devoted to his creator.
Shannon is happily married to Toney and has three children, Britton, Camden, and Gema. She also has a dog, cat, and five silkie chickens. Ask her about them! She’s active in her church (she sings on the worship team, helps with ministry events, and more!). She leads an active lifestyle … she ran her first full marathon at 43! Shannon likes to spend time with family and friends, run, play guitar, and read. Her dream is to return to school to get her nutritional communication degree.
